Helpful Note:
If you use your battery all year round or at least a few times a week then it will last, the problem is a lot of bikes do not get used in the winter seasons, resulting in a discharged battery that will never be quite the same in the following spring. If this sounds familiar then the best thing to do is remove the battery from the motorbike at the end of the season, charge it and then keep it safe in a frost-free dry area. Place it off the floor and recharge the battery every 10-12 weeks for a maximum of 24-hours. If the battery is left on the bike then you do not know what may be draining the battery, but this maybe OK providing you are going to make regular checks on the voltage with a voltmeter to be sure, but most people do not, they just become frustrated come the summer that the battery has failed, when in fact its often the lack of attention to the battery requirements.
